That’s cool. I wish I could have more live critters, but I’m stuck with just trout.

I’m working on a warmwater program, but not sure how it’ll work yet. There is also a quail in the classroom program and oysters in the classroom in NJ. And its illegal to collect fish to put in a tank in NJ.

Nice pictures Mac!  His coral reef tank is unreal.  I highly recommend visiting his classroom!

Hi, I’ve been doing the trout program for 5 years, but never had time to log into this “blog”.  James, what does it cost you to maintain that coral reef tank and how long have you had it going?

The tank is about 2 years old…...The cost is not much…..But I keep adding to it…..I’ll look back at the bills…..If you need help let me know…the kids love it and I could give you some seed frags to get you started…...

And what do you do over the summer months with the tank?  Does it have to be temp. controlled like the trout tank?  How do you maintain the salt levels, etc?  I’m intrigued.
