Question-
Does anyone have suggestions regarding what kind of plants, if any, to place in the tank?
If so, when would the time be appropriate, before or after the eggs arrive or after the eggs develop into fry.

Mark,

I just put plants into my tank for this year. I had hoped to get the riverbed assortment of plants from That Fish Place, but becuase our water is so cold, there really aren’t any plants that can handle those temps, so I went with the silk plants and think the tank looks great, although I can see how cleaning the tank will be a pain.

I’m not sure if it native ir not, or if it needs a ‘soil-type’ of substrate, but what about watercress, Nasturtium officinale?  It loves the cold water!

Has anyone ever tried this?  I was thinking about it.

Haven’t tried it, but keep us posted on how it goes if you do decide to go with the watercress.
