Artist Donates Painting to Pequest Trout Hatchery

Jim Nash a long time member and past president of the Ray Neirle Chapter of TU donated a watercolor painting to the Pequest Hatchery .

Jim Nash a long time member and past president of the Ray Neirle Chapter of TU donated a watercolor painting to the Pequest Hatchery on February 27th, 2009. The painting’s content of an osprey rookery on an abandoned boat hull in the Stone Harbor marshes will fit well into the Hatchery’s osprey display.

Jim started painting after he retired in 2000 and since then has donated a number of his paintings to the Chapter for auction at our annual banquet.  Also he was featured on the cover of the Mid Atlantic Fly Fishing Guide in the February issue.  Jim has continued to serve as our Trout in the Classroom local coordinator and is presently working with four schools.
