Check out real time brook trout in our largest tank, a 150 gallon beauty in the Somerset Hills area. Right now (12/6/07) you are looking at free swimming fry still in their breeder nets. Because this tank is so large, these fry will remain in the nets for several more weeks before being released into the tank. Check back often to see their growth and to watch them inhabit their new domain!

St. Thomas the Apostle School is very excited to be part of Trout In The Classroom Program. Bloomfield is in Essex County, a more urban area than many of the participating schools. The idea that we are raising trout which will released into a New Jersey stream is quite a unique experience for us. If any other school’s are interested in sharing their experience with STA’s students, we would love to hear from you.
