Just wondering how we should go about getting the food for the fry. With Thanksgiving holiday coming up, I am concerned about possible delivery delays and then a long weekend!

Rhonda,
Didn’t you receive a small Ziploc baggie with the starter food (Size 0) when you got your eggs? If not, I can drop some off in the next few days. Since your eggs came later than the first group due to the damaged chiller and you still have young sac fry, you won’t need to worry about feeding your fish just yet. Let me know if you need food and please look up the “feeding guidelines” on this site for info on when to feed and how much.
Teachers are learning that feeding is an inexact science, at best. When in doubt, feed less rather than more! Remember that the food is actually ground up fish, so it is very high in protein, and overfeeding can cause water quality issues if you are not careful. It is best not to let the students have constant access to the food as they will all want to feed the fry and overfeeding will be a real problem. I hope this helps all who are wondering about how and when to begin feeding the young fry.

I was on a class trip when they were delivered, but the teacher who took over for me said that there was nothing but the eggs. And so, no, I do not have any of the starter food.
Thanks!
