We have a lot of our fry starting to swim around in the net breeder. How do we submerge the net breeder to allow them to start swimming around the tank?

Those of you with the net breeders who have sac fry or alevins swimming in the net can release your fish into the tank. Please make sure you remove any dead or unhatched eggs once all are hatched to prevent any mold issues. Also, remember to cover any intake lines to prevent loss of fry. Does anyone remember the use an “old lady’s stocking” or was that an “old, ladies stocking”?
To release the fry, simply lower the net breeder into the tank and allow the fry to escape. They may bunch in groups at the bottom of the tank - this is normal until they are strong enough to swim freely.
Lastly, don’t feel the urge to feed the fry until they have absorbed their egg sacs. Please refer to the feeding guidelines on the site.
