Has anyone contacted local newspapers about the project? Our local newspaper is usually pretty reponsive to cool projects like this in the schools. I just wanted to find out if anyone else has contacted the papers and if so, how?

I do know that at least one newspaper covered the egg delivery for our E. Brunswick school. I believe it was the Home News (?).

Also, I am working with NJ Fish & Wildlife’s Chief of Information and Education to write a press release around our next and final egg delivery which should be within the next 7 days.

We have a contact with our county/local newspaper. They have both an online postings and the weekly newspaper. We submitted a press release at the beginning of the project and will continue to submit press releases throughout the year on the progress of our trout. We also hope to do a larger article when we release our fish at the end of the year.

Dear Taryn,
Could you forward me a copy of the press release you used? We would like to send a similar release to the local papers in Manahawkin.
Thanks,
Jason

Jason,
Since I have to be the site editor and get to read everything first, I shot Taryn and e-mail to make sure she knows you have a question for her. By the way, TIC got a write-up in the NJ Herald on Thursday 11/16.
